What got you into politics?
My parents were both teachers and I was always interested in education issues. When my own kids started to go to our local school I decided to run for school board. I’ve been on the board ever since.
What experience will you bring to compliment your role as (Mayor / Councillor / School Trustee)?
I’ve been a trustee for 12 years now so o have that experience. Due to retirements there will be some new faces on the board this year, my experience will help.
I also have experience as a parent in the division and my career as a practicing lawyer gives me administrative and problem solving skills.
What are some issues that you would like to stand for in your role as (Mayor / Councillor / School Trustee), and why are these issues important to you?
Equity, fairness and promoting the best environment possible for our kids to learn are important to me.
Do you have any other comments regarding your candidacy?
I’ve lived my whole life in this ward. I believe that community is crucial in local government
